Fat Cavitation is a relatively new term to grace the beauty industry. So what is Fat Caviation exactly?
Fat Cavitation Ultrasound is a treatment based on a safe ultrasound stimulation with small and large probes at the specific 1MHZ and 40KHz on the deeper visceral fats, which enables a local release of lipolytic hormone. This is lipolysis, the natural process by which our fat reserves (from our fat cells) are transformed into energy to be used up by our body (muscles, cells) generally in the form of exercise within 6 hours of treatment.
So does it really work? To answer this question I put it to the test.
From April – July I underwent six treatments spaced ever 2 – 3 weeks on my stomach and front/back of thighs (recommended treatments for results are 6 – 8).
I saw the lovely Anna Rai from Brisbane Brows (who also does my eyebrows – highly recommend!). She’s located in Belmont in Brisbane. Treatments cost $60 for 1 area, $90 for 2 areas and $150 for 3 areas.
Treatments last anywhere from 30 minutes – 1.5 hours depending on the number of areas you are treating. A thick gel is applied to the area first before commencing treatment. It isn’t painful however you may experience warmth, tingly and a ringing sound in your ears.
Now for the moment everyone’s been hanging in therefore. My results…
I noticed a big different on my stomach loosing approx. 11cm! but not too much different on my thighs with gaining 0.5cm. Why? I carry the majority of body fat in my trunk and although my thighs are on the larger side they’re pretty solid so there isn’t a lot of fat to loose from this area to begin with. Although you can see they look more defined replacing some of the fat with muscle (I’ve added an extra leg day into my routine).
If you’re training hard and eating healthy 90% of the time but have those “problem” areas you can’t seem to budge I would definitely give it a try!
*Disclaimer: You still need to exercise and maintain a healthy diet throughout your course of treatments. This treatment is designed to help you reach your fat loss goals faster and not a replacement tool to healthy eating and exercise.
