Flapjacked Protein Pancakes Review

Screen Shot 2016-08-08 at 2.46.33 PMBreakfast is my favourite meal of the day. I will happily eat breakfast food for any meal at any time of the day or night. After watching one of my favourite YouTubers latest video I noticed a new product she was using called Flapjacked. Flapjacked are an American brand that sell protein packed products and are renown for their protein pancakes. Naturally I was instantly intrigued as I normally make my protein pancakes from scratch however this can be time consuming and personally I don’t have a lot of time to eat breakfast. Breakfast time for me generally involves shoveling down food at the traffic lights on the way to work or eating at my desk multitasking between clients and work.

I decided to give it a try and ordered buttermilk, cinnamon apple and carrot spice. I also ordered a few of the mighty muffin packs that they sell which are essentially pre-made mug-cakes (microwave muffins).

First impression they were affordable and the serving size is decent. The mighty muffins are $3.98 USD ($5.28 AUD) and the protein pancakes are $8.98 USD ($11.90 AUD). I purchased them from IHerb and you can use the discount code:

Packaging wise I think the package is appealing the only dislike I have is that the clip seal to reseal isn’t of high quality and can be hard to shut so I store my pancake mix in a sealed container.

As for the most important part…the taste test. I love these pancakes. They taste great and are super fluffy (just be careful you don’t add too much water!). The macros are also good which is an added bonus. 1 serve is 1/2 cup of the dry mixture which will make approx. 2-4 pancakes depending how big you like them.

They only take a few minutes to make and can last a few days, just zap in the microwave for 30 seconds to warm them and add your favourite toppings. My favourite way to eat these is to mix in 1 egg before cooking and serve with fresh strawberries/dates and drizzle with sugar free maple syrup. Yum!

If you give them a try drop a comment below and let me know what you think! These are a staple breakfast item for me.
