As an avid self tanner I know all too well what it’s like to apply a fresh coat of tan only to end up with half of it all over your clothes, furniture and bright white sheets. Trust me when I say I’ve tried everything to avoid this issue from walking around naked to covering every piece of furniture in old sheets. It’s a debate I have with myself every Thursday night when I reach for my bottle of Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam – “Be a bronzed goddess and deal with the mess or be a pasty white girl and have a clean house?”
Luckily, thanks to a simple new idea our tanning prayers have been answered (hallelujah!). Introducing the Post Tan Application Suit by Brown Bare. The application suit is a disposable suit that doesn’t affect your tan application. It allows you to flounce around freely whilst protecting your clothes, sheets and furniture from tan stains.
It’s been specially designed and made from a lightweight and breathable fabric equipped with elasticised thumb straps and feet stirrups to allow the suit to stay fastened overnight. It even comes with a disposable pillow case and booties! If you’re an avid tanner like me then you must add this product into your tanning ritual.
1. Preparing Your Canvas
I always start my routine off with exfoliating my skin to remove any remaining tan and get rid of any any dead skin cells/dry skin. This will ensure your tan will blend nice and evenly and won’t appear patchy or streaky.
2. Time To Glow
Once my skin has completely dried I use the Bondi Sands Tanning Mitt to apply my Bondi Sands Tanning Foam. I use circular motions starting at my feet/ankles and move my way up the body. Pro tip: Apply moisturiser to your elbows, knees, hands and feet to avoid dark patches.
3. Stick To Your Vows
A tan is like a marriage. When you apply your fake tan you’re making a commitment to your body to maintain and look after your newly bronzed skin. I like to use the Bondi Sands Everyday Gradual Tanning Milk to maintain my tan. This milk hydrates and nourishes your skin locking in moisture and creating a barrier to stop your tan becoming patchy as it begins to fade. It will also assist in prolonging your tans life span.
